7. V-necks
Are you sick of hearing it from me yet? While I’m not suggesting you abandon all other necklines in favor of v-necks, they are a terrific way to slim your body. They lead your sight downward by creating a visual point towards the floor. For a visual depiction, see the image above. This impression may be achieved without a plunging neckline. A couple unbuttoned buttons on a shirt or even a little v-neck can assist.
6. Wear your shirts tucked in
Tuck your top into your jeans, slacks, or skirt instead than having it dangle over your bottoms. This will make your body appear shorter and your legs appear longer, giving the appearance of height.
5. Large prints should be avoided
If you want to seem taller and thinner, stay away from huge, busy prints, as they will attract the attention across your body rather than up and down, giving you the opposite impact you want. If you insist on wearing a print, go for a smaller one.
4. Try on some shape wear
You can really look slimmer by wearing shape wear. These are shirts, panties or jumpsuits made from elastic fibers that sculpt your body. You can wear them to highlight different, targeted parts of your body. Although they are often quite tight and not very comfortable, they can have a great effect. You can find them in most department stores as well as online.
- These body-sculpting undergarments are also available for men, for both upper and lower body sculpting.
