When we are young, our skin is often prone to blemishes. It is sensitive and reactive and needs to be treated gently to fight acne.

Morning and evening cleansing is essential to keep your skin healthy. But there’s no need to spend a fortune on an anti-acne cream.

You can make your own natural anti-acne face care. It’s much cheaper and just as effective! For the toner, I have a thyme homemade recipe that you might like…

And there you have it, your acne tonic is ready 🙂

It’s easy to do, quick and effective. And at least you know what’s in it! No toxic chemicals, only plants!

Note: You can keep your filtered tonic in the jam jar. But a nice glass bottle is more practical.

For example, you can use an old small bottle of balsamic vinegar that has been cleaned, dried and stripped of its label.

This herbal tonic can be kept for a maximum of 3 days. It is therefore not necessary to make large quantities.

How to use your lotion

After each cleansing (with soap or make-up remover), it is advisable to purify your skin with the tonic.

The purpose of this action is to remove all soap residue, tighten the pores and refresh the skin.

To do this, gently wipe the skin with a cotton pad soaked in the lotion. Gently wipe over the entire face and neck so as not to damage the skin.

Be careful to avoid the eye area! Finally, remember to moisturise your skin.

Otherwise it will produce sebum to restore its protective film and therefore become oily.

Unfortunately, oily skin is the most prone to blackheads and pimples.

That’s why they need to be pampered. I myself used this astringent toner during that terrible time of puberty. It is cheap and environmentally friendly.

It combines the action of three aromatic plants for a visible result in less than a week. Your skin will be healthier and smoother. Blemishes and blackheads will gradually disappear thanks to its astringent and antiseptic effect.

Why does it work?

Parsley has astringent, decongestant, healing and brightening properties, ideal for damaged skin.

Thyme is an antiseptic and tightens pores, perfect for preventing blackheads.

Lemon balm is healing and soothing. It is very suitable for normal to oily skin and soothes any irritation.

Bonus tip

Don’t have lemon balm? You can replace it with oregano (1 pinch), known to be a good antiseptic and an effective softener.

Additional tips

For healthy skin, you can opt for the formula soap + tonic + cream. This is the most effective way to prevent blackheads and pimples.

For daily use, Aleppo soap is recommended to clean your skin gently.

But for an exfoliating action, I recommend without hesitation this exfoliating anti-acne recipe, once or twice a week.
