6 grandmotherly secrets to have great nails

When you ask what part of a person’s body you look at first, it’s amazing to see that the hands can be among the answers! And indeed, it is a part of the body not to be neglected: we use them every day for everything. In fact, hand care is an important part of the beauty ritual. By extension, the health of the nails is therefore essential. With suspicions that their care products may be notable endocrine disruptors, going natural is an effective option to get the same results (if not better). Here are some grandmotherly tips for the beauty of your extremities. These natural remedies will give you stronger, less brittle nails!

1) Clean and shiny nails

Dirty nails can be extremely repulsive. To get perfectly clean nails, use a used toothbrush to gently scrub them. Use soapy water, or better yet, baking soda mixed with warm water.

2) Lemon for fortified nails

Lemon is an excellent whitening and nourishing ingredient. It allows you to care for your nails while making them more beautiful. Squeeze half a lemon into a container and soak your fingers in it for about ten minutes. You can then apply almond oil to complete the treatment.

3) Strengthening olive oil

It nourishes impeccably well. Simply apply a little, preferably warm, to your nails and leave on.

4) White vinegar to limit breakage

With everything that happens to them during the day, it’s no wonder they’re brittle and in bad shape. Nevertheless, you can immerse them for 5 minutes in a solution made with 250 ml of hot water for 10 ml of white vinegar. You can also apply it with a cotton swab and leave it for 5 minutes. Then rinse abundantly with clear water and dry your hands gently. Do not hesitate to re-hydrate them afterwards.

5) The most effective nail bath

This mixture boosts nail growth while keeping them healthy. Mix the juice of half a squeezed orange and finely chopped fresh garlic. Soak them in the mixture for 10 minutes. Rinse your hands and the container and fill it with virgin olive oil to soak your nails for 5 to 10 minutes to intensely nourish them.

6) Homemade nail strengthener to make your nails grow and become strong

Use an empty and cleaned nail polish bottle (or a nail polish that you don’t use). To clean the bottle, simply empty it and put nail polish remover in it to clean it. Fill it with virgin olive oil and add finely chopped garlic. Let it soak for at least 48 hours and apply it every day. If you can’t stand the smell, feel free to put a few drops of essential oil in it.
