Create a purple gaze eyeshadow and liner look.

Step 1:

Apply a primer to the inside of your lids. For this effect, you may also use it beneath your lash line, before moving on to the next stage, let it dry fully.

If you don’t have a primer, you can cover your eyes with foundation and concealer, then set with a translucent powder.

2nd Step:

The idea for this step is to softly apply a warm brown on the furthest edge of your eye and along the crease that connects them. The final basic form should resemble the second image on the right, but with a lot more diffused lines and no hard edges.

You’ll gently extend the brown at an angle from the outer corners of the eyes to give them a lengthening impression. Apply the warm brown with a little brush to the outermost edge of your eye, working upwards and at an angle towards the outer end of your crease.

With your fluffy blending brush, proceed to the outside edge of the crease. Apply the brown from that outside area inwards along the crease in a windshield wiper-like manner, using only the tips of this brush. Continue wiping the wrinkle back and forth in a windshield wiper-like manner a few times to blend it in. With your mixing brush, clear the earthy colored you applied to the external edge over-top into the wrinkle a couple of times.

3rd step:

Then, starting at the crease, mix the brown upwards (still using the windshield wiper motion). While blending, travel slightly over the crease and stop just below the brow bone.

As you work your way upwards, make sure the color fades gradually and lightly as you approach the brow bone. When you’re done mixing, it should seem like it was applied gently and diffusely, with no harsh edges.

4th step:

Apply your purple to your upper eyelid using your basic shader brush.

5th step:

The silver colour will be applied to the outside “V” next. Start at the outer border of your upper lash line and work your way down to the crease. Then, in the crease, draw the following line, producing a sideways “V” shape. Make the “V” as tiny as possible. You may apply the “V” with a variety of brushes, such as a pencil eyeshadow brush or a tapered blending brush.

I’d recommend using a tapered blending brush like this one if you want to kill two birds with one stone, because you’ll want to blend the silver inward into the purple on your lid.

Blend the outer silver into the purple with the tapered blending brush in small circular strokes.

Before continuing on, make sure you wipe the excess color off your brush and onto a clean cloth. Alternatively, you may use a fresh, clean blending brush. You’ll want to mix the silver into the brown slightly upward and outward. To prevent the colors from becoming muddy, employ tiny circular movements.

6th step

Apply the silver shade to your whole lower lash line using a tiny shader brush, smudger brush, or pencil brush. Sweep the color up up beneath the lashes with the brush.

7th step

Apply a thin line of purple eyeliner along your top lash line. Keep it as near to the roots of your lashes as possible.

It should be thin at first, then thicken as you move closer to the outer edge of your lash line.

8th step

Curl your lashes and use mascara to complete the look.
