8/ If you quit wearing a bra every day, you may get back pain.
A few bras are more valuable and appealing than others, yet they all fill a similar need, supporting the heaviness of your bosoms. Without a bra, you’re on your own to perform all of the heavy liftings.
“Boobs are heavy for some of us, and without any support, that weight may strain your back,” Jessica Pfister, vice president of lingerie maker Le Mystere, told Well+Good. Lifting those pups may be a lot of labor and cause a lot of aches and pains.
But don’t re-clasp your bra yet. That first back discomfort may be quite brief. “The largely unpleasant breasts of women may first feel more uncomfortable because their muscles may be weak and not strong enough to give appropriate support,” obstetrician-gynecologist and reproductive endocrinologist Lucky Sekhon told the health site.
7/ If you quit wearing a bra completely during exercise, you may suffer breast-tissue injury.
You may be completely committed to your new undergarment-free lifestyle, but we have one suggestion: keep your sports bra. It may not be necessary for a casual walk around the block, but it will be required for more strenuous physical activity.
According to Shape, a high-impact workout can cause significant harm to your breast tissue if not properly supported. Furthermore, you should not wear any old bra from the closet. Instead, choose “an encapsulation-style sports bra… over the uniboob compression variety,” according to the newspaper. Separate cups will provide additional protection since breast tissue moves in a “figure-eight pattern” during several forms of activity, according to Shape.
Runners who try to speed up without adequate support may also suffer from severe chafing-induced nipple fissures known as “jogger’s nipple,” according to Livestrong. Oh, dear!
