6. Take care of your skin
At 50, your mission, if you accept it, is the following: take care of your face, your neckline, your body and your hands. To do this, 4 products are going to be a must in your bathroom and your purse. Of course, we moisturize ourselves from the inside but never enough to not have to moisturize our skin and protect it from bad weather.
- Vegetable oils for their high concentration of nutrients and their quick absorption without forgetting their pleasant smell (we prefer camelina, prickly pear, rose hip, borage and organic first cold-pressed oil).
- Day cream (global anti-aging care) or an aloe vera + vegetable oil complex.
- Hand cream or a protective organic shea butter balm
Always choose natural beauty products with an organic label. If you are a fan of essential oils, you can add carrot essential oil for its anti-wrinkle and anti-spot properties.
5. Consult your gynecologist
It’s not because you no longer have any plans to become pregnant that you should desert the gynecologist’s office, quite the contrary! At fifty, your gynecologist is your ally in taking care of your body by :
- Preparing you for menopause.
- Considering the necessary screenings with “routine” examinations (mammography and cervical smears).
- Preventing osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease.
- Discussing possible unglamorous problems (mood disorders, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, sagging perineum, sleep disorders, weight gain, etc.)
