16. Eat dark chocolate
Eating right is also important for your skin. And there’s always a good excuse to grab a bar. Rich in flavonoids, dark chocolate helps protect the skin from UV rays and thus slows down the skin’s aging process. Chocolate in the belly to delay the pockets, nice program!
17. Eat fatty fish
Salmon, tuna, mackerel… Fatty fish are known for their omega-3 content. These fatty acids improve blood circulation, thus limiting the appearance of dark circles. Indeed, the blood stagnating less under the eyes, you will keep your look of fresh doe.
18. Reduce your salt intake and drink water
When the body lacks water somewhere, it goes elsewhere to compensate. The parts of the body that contain the least amount of salt are the ones that are the most waterlogged. Conversely, the areas of the body that are full of salt are poor in water.
When we have too much salt and not enough water in the body, our face can tend to become a little puffy. The skin around the eyes is especially thin and vulnerable to dehydration. So if you eat a particularly salty dish, don’t forget to moisturize your throat regularly.
19. Don’t drink too much alcohol
Salt is almost a moisturizer compared to alcohol. See your face after a night of drinking? Those red eyes, that puffy look, those bags full of dark circles or those poached circles? As much as possible, respect the recommendations of Santé Publique France: Two units of alcohol per day maximum and two days of abstinence per week.
Drink as much water as possible before going to bed if you’ve overindulged… And apply a night moisturizer under your eyes to limit the physical impact of the hangover the next day.
